Easy-to-Use Technology for Seniors
can help older adults stay connected, informed, and engaged. Devices designed specifically for seniors offer simplified features, larger text, and easy navigation, making it easier to communicate with loved ones, access information, and enjoy entertainment.
Below are two technology options designed with seniors in mind:

Telikin Computer
The Telikin Computer is available in both desktop and laptop models and is specially designed to be simple and comfortable for seniors to use. Its easy-to-navigate software includes large fonts, a touchscreen, and clearly labeled buttons for commonly used features such as email, news, weather, games, contacts, internet, and calendar—conveniently located along the side of the home screen.
Our clients can use Telikin to handle everyday online activities like banking, shopping, joining Zoom calls, making calls, and scheduling doctor appointments. It also provides fun ways to stay entertained and connected, including watching movies, listening to music, and emailing family and friends.

GrandPad Tablet
The GrandPad Tablet is a portable tablet that runs on mobile broadband, so it can be used almost anywhere. Designed with seniors in mind, it has large, easy-to-read buttons that make it simple to access music, games, email, video chat, photos, articles, and more. If help is needed, users can press the Help button to connect directly with a live support representative who can assist them and update the tablet if necessary.
For more information, visit www.grandpad.net.- At the outset, we provide and train each senior on their computer or tablet, creating email and social media accounts for them, adding contacts, helping with photo sharing, bookmarking websites, learning about Zoom, and other tasks that help the user maximize their experience. In many cases, the senior has limited experience with technology so we return as needed to help them learn to use it.
- We customize each computer or tablet for the user before bringing it to them, and training them on it. During our initial assessment, we determine which of the devices: laptop, desktop, or tablet, are best suited to that individual.
- We assist with getting low cost WiFi, and pay for the device help lines, which the seniors can call at no cost to themselves. If there is an issue requiring repair or replacement, we take care of that for the senior. These are individuals who do not have family or the resources to take care of these problems on their own.
- In our experience, issues often crop up with technology, failing batteries, problematic mouse and keyboard, chargers that don’t charge, connectivity issues, and many more. Most seniors without a support system are at a loss as to how to deal with such things, and then their tech device sits idle. We are able to address these issues right away, so that the senior can continue to get the most out of their device.
- Our staff and interns follow up as needed if further training is necessary, or repair or replacement.

Our dedicated social workers help our clients with social service needs such as transportation, housing, food, and access to medical care, and services like home health aides, and medical equipment. They will help them sign up for programs such as Meals on Wheels, SNAP food stamps, food pantry deliveries, and Medicare or Medicaid. They will provide mental health support as needed, and referrals to counseling and support groups.

- Dental and Medical care
- Medicare and Medicaid assistance
- Home health aides, rehab, and long term care options
- Technical support for their computer or tablet
- Assistance accessing online activities such as Zoom, classes, bill paying, church services, music, and movies
